WHY IS YOUR GP PRACTICE NOW UNABLE TO DO THE THINGS THEY ONCE WERE?

The Grampian LMC (Local Medical Council) have released a letter to the public of Grampian (Shire, City and Moray) explaining why Primary Care has had to change how they deliver care and services to patients.

We are trickling this information out in bitesize chunks on our Facebook page, but if you want to read the full letter, you can download it here.

TEMPORARY PRACTICE CLOSURES

From Tues 2nd June 2026, we will be closing the Practice between 12-2pm on Tuesday and Thursday's only to allow for essential staff training. This is in the lead up to a change in software taking place at the end of July. Allowing protected learning time for our staff will ensure the transition goes as smoothly as possible, allowing us to continue the high quality of care we provide to our patients.

Thank you for your support, understanding and patience while we navigate this large change.

BACKSCANNING OF PAPER RECORDS

Albyn Medical Practice has now undergone the full backscanning process, which means all historical paper records have been digitalised and are now held on the computer.

This is the start of Albyn Medical Practice going paper-light, and we are keen to continue this - improving on efficiencies but also contributing towards a greener workplace.
